Managing your health online
There are many things you can now do using online services including:
- ordering repeat prescriptions
- viewing test results
- accessing your electronic health record
- checking or cancelling appointments
- seeing your vaccination record
For these, you can use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) or SystmOnline.
Setting up an NHS account
If you wish to use the official NHS App:
- To set up your NHS account for the first time, you will need to set up an NHS login. Read about how to set up NHS login (nhs.uk)
- Once you have set up your NHS login, you can log in to your NHS account or download the NHS App onto your phone
Setting up SystmOnline
If you wish to register for online access via the surgery (SystmOnline):
- fill out a patient online access form
- bring the completed form to the surgery alongside an original form of photographic ID (e.g. passport or driving licence) so we can confirm your identity
- we will email you new login details including a username and password
- then go to SystmOnline or use the app to start using your online services
Proxy online services
In certain circumstances, you might want to request proxy access for online services of another patient. For example, proxy access for your child (if they are under 13 years old) or for someone you care for.
- fill out a proxy online access form – this will need to be signed both by the patient & by the nominated person
- the nominated person must bring the completed form to the surgery alongside an original form of their photographic ID (e.g. passport or driving licence) so we can confirm your identity
- we will email you new login details including a username and password
- then go to SystmOnline or use the app to start using your proxy online services
